SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST – Improve your performance

What makes an elite athlete successful whether a runner, swimmer, cyclist, ice hockey player, boxer, tennis player,  soccer player, wrestler, rower that all of these sports have in common?  Is it technique, strength, pain tolerance, endurance?

There were some interesting answers to this question in the July 30, 2012 issue of Time Magazine, SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.  The physiologists working with elite athletes in training “work on measurable aspects of fitness: VO2 Max, lactate threshold, economy of motion and maximum sustained output.”  Of course, performance in competition, whether in the Olympics or in the local triathlon, depends on intangibles as well, like desire, discipline and determination.

According to the Time Magazine article, what the sports in the introduction –  rowing, running, swimming, etc. have in common is a high VO2 Max and lactate threshold.  VO2 Max measures how much oxygen is getting to your muscles.  Lactate threshold is when the pain in a sport kicks because  the body can’t rid itself of the lactic acid build-up in the tissues.  A lab study shows that Asea increases VO2 max by over 10%.

Now there is a third performance variable that can be measured and improved ——– increasing the availability of free fatty acids by consuming Asea.

Free fatty acids are a highly favorable and efficient source of fuel for exercise and endurance and for all daily activity. This allows the  use of glycogen, stored in the muscles and liver, to be available longer thereby increasing endurance.  A newly published study by the Human Performance Laboratory of the North Carolina Research Institute shows that Asea has a big positive impact on energy and endurance.

If should be noted that the redox signaling molecules that are in a bottle of Asea are native to the body, are non-toxic at any level of consumption and have passed all anti-doping tests.

Scientific studies are  one thing and  experiences are another.  Those runners, cyclists and triathletes I know who are using Asea consistently all report increased energy and endurance plus a faster recovery from intense training or a race.  This has certainly been my personal experience as well.

In addition, I have not been injured in over two years since beginning to use Asea.  For me this is huge – I used to get injured frequently with our kids saying, “Dad’s injured again,” which was kind of a family joke.  Asea clearly helps the body recover from stress.
